And the winner is: Milena Umbarila

Milena has won the grand prize! An audition, photo shoot, ad networking opportunity with Nomad Management. Congratulations to her!

This is just the beginning. Milena’s position as #1 will give her a great head start for Famocracy’s future competitions since the site rating is not reset between contests. As long as Milena has the most votes in the modeling category, she will always be the representative of the site, the featured profile on Famocracy’s home page.

So there you’ve got it! If you love Milena’s pics, vote for her to help her stay #1.

Bravo once again to Milena!

Famocracy’s Featured Artist: Dominique Dy

Young artists are very often the most impressive. The ones we found at Famocracy all demonstrated extraordinary abilities as well as confidence while performing their talent. These artists all have a vocation, and here at Famocracy, we can only encourage them to continue towards that goal.

Dominique Dy is one of those artists.  She took part in her very first singing contest (Mule Town Idol) when she was 7, and that`s also when she started to sing. Dominique won 1st place in her division, inspite of being the youngest contestant. Dominique also became the youngest choral member of La Boheme and Tosca, two productions by the Nashville Opera.

Born in the US but from Chinese and Filipino decent, Dominique also manages to be a “straight A” honor student.

She now continues to perform at various events. Here at Famocracy, we think Dominique deserves even more recognition for her talent. Every talent deserves recognition in proportion to its quality.

That’s why we encourage you all to watch her videos and spread the word about her!

Enjoy

Famocracy’s Featured Startup: Hometown Apparel

Hometown Apparel is a brand new startup just under 2 months old, straight out of Vancouver, Canada.

They sell sports apparel, such as jerseys, and the suddenly trendy snapback caps. You’ve got it: Hometown are extremely focused. And we all know that this is the strategy that makes many startups viral.

Hometown also sponsor musicians and are launching up a collaboration with clothing brand, “Onesecoffame”.

Hometown Apparel is run by Langara College student Adam Lando, who also happens to be a rapper. At Famocracy, we admire Adam’s overall entrepreneurial spirit both in business and in music.

Unfortunately, Adam has not yet posted his new songs to Famocracy, but we’ll let you know when he does!

In the meantime, check out Hometown apparel and Onesecoffame on Facebook!

Famocracy’s Featured Artist: Yosefin Buohler

Famocracy is always on the lookout for new talent in the performing arts. Today, we looked at singers and in the mass of aspiring singers, there is always a few of them that stand out as very promising performers. 16 year old Yosefin Buohler is one of them. Originally from Germany, Yosefin now lives in Bonn where she still goes to school.

Yosefin demonstrated her talent many times, including on TV when she participated in Germany’s “Das Super Talent“.

The qualilty of her performances considering her age baffled us at Famocracy. We expect a lot of things from this young singer with a very promising career.

Famocracy’s Featured Artist: Ryan Narciso

Young talents are not easy to find but but here at Famocracy, we found one today, and he’s pretty amazing!

Ryan is a 21 year old student who just produced his very first album “The Key”. Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Ryan has “been singing all [his] life”.

He taught himself to play a number of instruments including guitar and drums.

Ryan has made a number of covers as well as original songs and their quality is reflected by the impressive fan base he has managed to acquire.

Ryan is now trying to get attention for his work. That’s the type of attitude that we love here at Famocracy.

Below we have shared some of his best work, which we think is perfect Famocracy material.

Enjoy
